Chickee who's your friend I might know of them. I'm taking my registers test in Janurary so I can be a judge too.

Lion Lop. LOLKim, is that a chowcilla?![]()
My broody is on ceramic eggs so i guess I will take all those out and then block the nest box at night. I have a few younger pullets that are not roosting in the right place yet and have been sleeping in nest boxes which isn't good either.Lion Lop. LOL
I broke the broodies by simple taking away the nesting boxes and when they did have access I took a day and made sure I got every single egg out as it was hatched. I had to sit them up higher than the boxes, because I turned them so they couldn't get into them at night and they had to start roosting. Spent the first night taking the off the top of the boxes.
Just had another Silver Phoenix hatch! I have a few more eggs I pulled from the broodie. She was easy to break since the chicks were killed that she hatched out and I grabbed out the other eggs. She's laying again already and has been since about the 3rd day.
the bread sounds good. I started baking our bread last week. It's so good. I've eaten way too much. I haven't been able to harvest anything yet but the spinach, chard and kale are doing well. I have some lettuce that will be big enough pretty soon. Hope you start to feel better!Candy, that's so funny that she turned out to be a pullet. Of all the odds, the only wheaten one. I swear, we live in the land of irony. But I bet you, if she had come home to my house, she would have turned into a rooster.
I'm running on an energy drink right now, trying to get the stuff done that my family can't help with. I just mixed up some bread and put it in the oven for Russ. It's not quite necessary work, but on Sunday I bought a loaf of bread and just about choked. $4 for a loaf of something that's part cellulose, and didn't even taste good! I hadn't bought bread in so long. So I mixed up a challah recipe with fresh garden dill and some caraway seeds. It's 10 minutes of work, an hour rest, 10 more minutes... not too bad.
Last night, I made it outside to harvest 4lbs of spinach. I hacked it pretty short, and I'm hoping it'll grow back. But it was getting so tall that it was pressing up against the poultry netting, and the chickens were feasting. Plus, they pooped while feasting, so I had to soak the spinach in a sink full of bleachy water to clean it off. I'm going to make a spinach quiche or two tonight, and probably some kind of florentine sauce tomorrow, and if there's any leftover I'll blanch and freeze it.
It's nice to have garden produce, and we're getting a lot of lettuce and spinach right now. But the family's tone toward eating changes when I say, "You're going to have a BIG salad today, and you're going to LIKE it!"

It's a mix of Lionhead and Holland Lop. I have both breeds, but this one if from someone they buy a lot of the moxes from .I don't know my rabbits at all.![]()
Should we take bets on how many babies Seth gets from his doe?
I'm gonna say 3-4 one of which will be a peanut.
Speaking of peanuts one of the does I sent a depost for had a litter yesterday of 4 3 peanuts and one frozen. That Seth will be your last hint. It could be Mini Rex, it could be Holland Lops, it could be or Jersey Woolies, or Netherland Dwarfs or even Fuzzy Lops. I'm kinda wanting a Wooly breed I'm thinking about trying all 47 breeds.
They are out there. You're taking the right step by signing up to receive listings, and already having a broker helps, too. I was on this one the day the listing came out, and had my broker start the ball rolling immediately. That's what I need to find!!
There's a small ranch supply right near my place - it's run by one of my neighbors. I really like that I'm able to give him the business, plus it is very convenient for me - less than 5 minutes away. It's right on Hwy 50, but I can't remember what he calls it though. The feed he sells is called Farmer's Best.Where do you buy your feed, Ron?
