I can often taste the specific spices and recreate it at home but it may take me a couple of tries to get it right. There are some dishes I can't do this with and it drives me crazy!!!
I know, right? I make Thai food all the time, but I can really only say it's "Thai influence." I've researched so many recipes, and still cannot figure out how to get a red curry to be that perfect consistency! Does anyone have a traditional Thai friend who can come over for a month and show me all her secrets?

Today, one of my clients brought over about 10lbs of fruit for me. I was almost caught up. But I'm not complaining. NOT complaining. More food to go into the storage room!!! But there is an end in sight... no matter how much fruit gets piled up, there's no way any of this is going to last past the end of September.
Speaking of something silly, I have a couple of funky little cochin brahma somethings. So far, both Pot and Pie are acting like pullets. They have reddish feathers, lightly feathered feet, and one of them is growing brahma markings on her neck. I'm not sure exactly what they are... other than chickens.
