Nevadans?

I got married in black leather. In a bar. Left on a Harley. They decorated with those folded paper bells in purple and black. Backdrop was the huge pic of a bull runner. Glittered gold flamingos are NOT tacky. Except I prefer silver over gold. LOL

You know my mom said the same thing about the gold "oh Aubrey youre making a big mistake...silver is the wedding color, not gold!" I just dont get it. I dont like silver! Gold goes much better with my teal hair, hahaha! Besides, I am sure the Gold flamingos will go much better with our 70s Elvis Performer! Tee HeeHee!!!
A couple of pics, anyone?

These are Pot and Pie, my brachins. Now I'm wondering if they're jermas, because the original owner said she had some Jersey giant hens, and these babies are pretty big. So we're looking at a possible mix of brahma, cochin, and jersey giant. And since they have two different comb structures, I can't judge who's male and who's female. They're about 8 weeks old now.

This is Pie. I'm 90% sure she's female.

This is Pot. I'm saying male, but I still feel there's a 50/50 chance. The saddle feathers aren't looking too funky so far, and the legs aren't much bigger than Pie's.

And both of them walking around...

And some spoiled animals that think they deserve bananas:

I agree with you!

It's a cultural thing. Although someof us use gold, you see a lot more silver. Elvis Performer? Ya got me beat! LOL Ya know, it's going to be great. I love different things. I'm a little different, so the same old same old gets to be very boring. Oh and I do use glod at christmas. I gold glittered reindeer. Matter of fact Makayla found the glitter a coupleof weeks ago and wanted to make Christmas ornaments. We're going to do penguins this year in black, white and gold. I might even gold glitter Harleys for Bill's tree at the cemetery. Just doing that so he sends me more signs. I think they'll make him come and ask me what I was thinking. LOL

Oh dang, sunny I'll never get rid of the pink ones! But I special ordered 3 boxes of 50 lawn flamingos to spray paint gold and spread around the venue of the wedding. It's goin tO be tacky and amazing at the same time!
I agree with Ron. It won't look tacky at all! It will be amazing and it will be something no one else has done! Well not that I know of anyway. Don't forget to let us help Aubrey! One thing I learned after doing hundreds of weddings is that EVERY bride takes on too much and often the bride and the bride's mother end up sick the day of the big event because of it. So let us help!!! We love you and it will be a great honor to be able to help you get ready for the big event!!!!!

Hahaha! Well you know I prefer gold over silver any day! Even aside from my favorite sports team. I agree with Aubs, I look totally crappy in silver. Gold has always been my color. I mean it doesn't matter a hoot what I prefer but I'm just sayin'... I personally love the color choice.

Aubrey, the wonderful thing about being the bride is that you're the only one who has to like it! It'll look fabulous!
HEAR HEAR!

LOL KIM! I think that's fantastic!!!
Thanks you guys!! <3 massive love
Right back atcha Sweetie!!!

Cute pics Missy. I'm afraid I think the second one is a roo as well. Hard to see the hackle feathers well but from what I can see of those saddle feathers they look a bit roo-ish to me.

Ran across this little poem - thought you all would appreciate it!

The codfish lays a thousand eggs
the homely hen but one.
The codfish never cackles
to tell you what she’s done.
And so we scorn the codfish
while the humble hen we prize,
Which only goes to show you
that it pays to advertise.

Heres one:
Last night I dreamed of chickens,
there were chickens everywhere,
they were standing on my stomach,
they were nesting in my hair,
they were pecking at my pillow,
they were hopping on my head,
they were ruffling up their feathers
as they raced about my bed.
They were on the chairs and tables,
they were on the chandeliers,
they were roosting in the corners,
they were clucking in my ears,
there were chickens, chickens, chickens
for as far as I could see...
when I woke today, I noticed
there were eggs on top of me.

Love that one! A motto to live by these days for sure!

Cute. If I'd had my way as a kid this is how my room would have been. I was always trying to sneak chickens into my room. Unlike Missy's Mom, however, I always got caught. My Mom could smell chicken poo a mile away.
