Nevadans?

Yeah when I walked into the ER I could hear him screaming at the top of his lungs. It was awful. The surgeon said the pain was like four times worse than giving birth (I have no frame of reference!) since the pelvis expanded four times the size it does when a woman is passing a baby through.

The surgeon also said that in his ten years of work he has only ever seen one other person survive this injury. My dads a lucky man.

Just got home from work a bit ago. Wow Aubrey, here goes your life again. I tell ya. It's because your dad is a fun person who likes to have fun. I'm sorry for his pain and the agony he's going through. I can only imagine how much pain he has. It will take him some time to really get over this. Tell him your chicken friends say hi and to get better soon. Oh and take some pics of MAMA on your cam or a video and show your dad, it should make his day?

Everyone have a good night.

Re: stories and beliefs...

As I shared my beliefs on the subject with another member via PM, I noted how much my belief in ghosts really did circle around my religious beliefs. And as I detailed why I had those beliefs, I did notice that many of the specific details did follow beliefs particular to my religion. I know that some people hold ghosts as taboo, while some don't see it as a bad thing.

I support both Lacy Blues and Sunny in this, and everyone else who has added to the conversation. I can see both sides of it.

But then, that's why I LOVE you guys sooooo very much! When I first joined, I really refrained from even mentioning hints about what religion I follow. Those of you who know me a little better know that I attend a church that isn't always popular with the public view. But it doesn't matter here, and I'm so very thankful that it doesn't.

I've been on this thread for almost a year, and I've never seen a conflict that hasn't been resolved. I've never met anyone on here that I've really had problems with, or even bad feelings about. You're all great, and we make it work. I love all of you.

Ok, that's my feel-good smooshy sentiment for the day. To combat that, I'm going to put on a big pair of boots and some cargo pants, and then go take my husband to the reptile show.

What time is the exhibit again? We probably won't make it, since we need to rush the roof on the coop. I hear the weather is going to be nasty next week, and I want those shingles up before the plywood gets wet.

I don't think that is at all necessary or appropriate to even ask.
You jumped on another forum and plugged your political view, totally off topic and no on asked you to stop discussing it or go as far as remove it.
If you're not fond of the topic, kindly pass over it.
Pam
What political view? I don't generally talk about politics.

OK I'm not sure if that discussion has been put to a stop, so I'm going to answer the question that was asked.

Sunny, we use smudge and burning of sage of everything. LOL It's used before and after prayer, to chase away evil, to invite good energy. I was always very good about doing my burnings and maybe my life sucks now, because I've only done it a couple of times since Bill died. I've felt very defeated losing him. The great thing about having him around was, he enjoyed learning and participating in my culture. He loved learning about other cultures even before we met and that started when he was in Vietnam. He lived among the people and learned from them. He had smudge sticks when I met him and tried to teach me about them. I just kind of smiled and said "now you want me to teach you how WE do it?" His sage and vessel are still right where he left them on our dresser. I haven't touched them. That takes will power for me. Modesto is sooooooo dusty! LOL

I believe that every religion has it's time and place to celebrate. I don't say "Happy Holidays" I say "Merry Christmas." I figure if we had tribes that were exterminated so that men on ships could find a place for freedom of religion, that everyone should be able to have just that. Sunny knows a secret about me. One other person knows it too on these boards. I think with me it's a more spiritual involvement and there are way to many things that can happen in your life to prove that spirits do exist. How could they not? We were sent here in spirit, not in a body. I believe in spirits in plants and animals too, but I eat them. In the end our bodies feed the earth, so we're all basically lunch.

That being said, when I bartended, I had a rule. No talking of religion or politics! WHY? I had to break up more fights over the 2 than I did when I had 9er and Raider fans together. BTW, I bartended for a Mormon lady.

If something is not supposed to be talked about, so be it. So do we talk about them or not?

I'm always up for a good ghost story. I have many and they started when I was a very little girl. Whether you believe or not, the choice is always your's to walk away or not post or read those posts. These threads are to share and make friends and that's why I love this thread in particular. So many different people who live in different ways and who still share and get along. I love it here. I wish the California thread was just like this. It is at times, but it's days between posts sometimes and that's sad. Almost makes me want to move near you all. ALMOST! I'm already too cold here this weekend and I sure hope I don't have to move to a cold area just to have the life I want to have. buurrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I have only 2 live chicks from my last hatch. Humidity issues. Have another hatch due the 28Th. And we have a new addition to the family that I was none too pleased with, but majority (ahem) rules, so we now have an about 7 week old kitten. I hate cats! Evil little things. This one has the nerve to think I like it or something. Always has to have a paw on me. Icky!

OK, I'm going to wait on my story. If I can't share it I won't. But it was something that made me feel like I'm not totally alone and being watched over.

aw Kim I adore cats. I get suspicious of people when they say they hate cats

Mine are just absolutely the sweetest animals i have ever met in my life. They surpass the dog by MILES in love and affection. They take good care of themselves and keep the darned mice out. And theyre really good at cuddling. I feel like most people base their cat hating experience on dealing with a few mean ones, or carefree ones but people dont do that with dogs and Ive met plenty of nasty dogs too. Still love em all. Heck it was a MILLION times easier for me to teach the cats not to ruin the furniture than the dogs! haha, back when Elvis and Bogie were younger they literally tore entirely through three couches! aww Im a sap for kitties, i really am! That kitten will steal your heart in no time ;)

Only cats I ever liked were my own. I hate cat hair. Never knew a cat that was anything like any of my dogs. Sorry, dogs are awesome. I have no problem with scooping out a dog run even if they weigh over a 100 pounds and they leave ya a huge pile. That pile is nothing compared to the stench of cat poop. OMG, there's a litter box! In my HOUSE!

First time in he went and he knows exactly where it is and hasn't had an accident so far. Lucky for him. I see one scratch on any of my furniture and he's going to live in a coop. I've lost almost 200 chicks total to cats! This sucker is probably related to the killers. I caught his sister 2 days ago and took her next door. That one clawed the heck out of my arm and I was terrified because it started to become infected, so I ceaned it out last night and used Tea Tree oil and then Neosporin and it's better today. I had a little boyfriend when I was 9 who spent a month in the hospital from his cat scratching him. I also know a woman who lost her husband from their cat scratching him. This kitten and the others had homes lined up for them. Then my daughter sees this one in the drive and catches it for Kayla. I get "Mom, it looks like Cry Baby!" My daughter had 2 cats when she was Kayla's age. Cry Baby and Tiger would run up the block and wait in the park for Vanessa's school bus every day. Then they'd walk her home. I think they may have watched one too many reruns of Lassie. I found this thing on my new chair last night.
barnie.gif
Put him on the floor and he went behind it and went to sleep. Much better. He's laying here watching Kayla practice Cheers, but every couple of seconds he stretches and tries to get closer to me. Last night I had to grab him off the coffee table over and over. I told the kids they can NOT sit on my furniture and hold this thing. I want him to know he gets the floor and nothing else. I haven't wanted a cat since getting stuck with Bill's jealous, evil cat that he got from a friend after I met him. We had it out and she left me alone afterwards. Bill laughed at me and asked if I really thought the cat understood. I looked at her smug face and said "Yeah, she knows what I'm talking about and if she doesn't stop her crap she's gone and you can be too." That cat never bothered me again. But he let her on his bed and then when we got married he let her on MY bed. OMG!!! I'm not sleeping in cat hair! This mini, no mouse catching thing, climbed up and curled up with me when I needed to lay on the couch yesterday. I wake up to him trying to stretch on me! Those sharp little claws persing my skin!

OMG! I need to go out back and let Isis drool on me and wipe her dirt face on me, just to get over the trauma.....Ohhhhhh...Now he's sleeping on Kayla's blanket. I don't have a working dryer and I'm going to have to wash it again and hang it out.

He better grow on me or he's so out of here. I haven't seen it yet on anything, but I know there will be cat hair on something and it's tuening my stomach to think about it. Nothing like leaving a house covered in cat hair!

Well, you just did it so I'm sure you recall......... you hit all the CA sites with it. I know it's not just a CA concern (although it is right now) but you don't normally post on those threads since you live in NV but you posted the same exact info regarding a CA issue that you want people to vote for on a couple different BYC, CA sites. Thought that was kind of random since you're not a regular on those threads. I don't think I've ever seen you post there as a matter of fact so when someone pops in and just posts something political and then asks for content about ghosts to be removed from another thread, well, I just say "hhhh?"
idunno.gif
I'd say your random, political posts were of more concern then any stories about peoples experience with the spirit world.

I rest my case!
Evil and trying to look cute. He already shedded a feather and whatever else he had. She's stalking everyone and everything that he sees.

Look at him! Would you trust this????
