I’m in shock… that’s insane!!
I was hoping she just started going up. I 'd say try to catch her and relocate her and give her new eggs. She's been setting about 14 days. I have no idea how many eggs she is setting on though.
That's what I figured was going to happenI think the chicks will be bouncing off every branch on the way down.
I think I'd also be concerned a predator could scoop them up.That's what I figured was going to happen
Lol I never seen one do that beforeI’m in shock… that’s insane!!
Do you have any way to get up there? Do you have a 40'ft extension ladder or know someone how does? I'd climb the ladder (and bring a rope to tie myself off to the tree with once up there) and also bring up a bag to put the hen in and lower her to the ground with a rope to someone waiting for her then collect the eggs in a padded pouch and get yourself down. That's what I figured was going to happen
Ditto Dat.That is crazy. But if she were my hen I'd capture her, pen her and not let her go back there.
It will be a sad day when you go out and 10 baby chicks are dead at the base of the tree.
or a bucket truck? like the power company/tree cutters?Do you have any way to get up there? Do you have a 40'ft extension ladder or know someone how does? Do you have any idea how far along the eggs are? Do you have or know someone with an incubator?
I'd set that nutso tree hugger up in a crate with fake eggs and bator her eggs then give them to her when they hatch.
