New addition on our 11 month old unfinshed coop

Pics
So we got our 1st coat of paint on the walls today. I'll start by saying our home is all wood. So it has been a while since we could paint walls. We are using up our oil based paint from a carving project for a water park in Branson Mo. The park researched to colors to promote a friendly happy environment. Well after talking to hawkie, One of my 2 eater eggers, She explained her and the girls always feel like their on a beach in Maui and they love the colors. SO I assured her we would stick to those colors, 16 in all, although I think we will only use 8-10 of them.

So here is the inside. Ceiling done walls in first coat..................

another....................

The bare wood at the bottom of the walls, well 33" up the walls and floor will be black jack 57. But that will be the last thing we paint. I also have the divider wall built going to paint. then will get chicken wire installed on it. Another coat on the front window wall and I should be able to get the screen and shutters installed. I will keep this updated. the new girls are well past living in the broader and need to go out asap.

Oh my! Scott! I love the color scheme. My DH insisted I keep the colors boring and matching the house. I wanted to paint it cool colors like yours. But Im painting the ceiling to the run a gorgeous bright sky blue and the inside of the coop probably the sky blue too so at least I have some color. Yours looks awesome!!

I had to pull some wire and hook a new meter that will support the new addition on our house today so no work on the coop and the girls let me know about the color and a little complaining about the new flock getting that new made section of the coop. I assured them that get to enjoy it too as soon as the played nice with the little hens to be and opps maybe a rooster too.

Yep the issue right now. We or I had said we would not get roosters till we had there own house and run. But now because he is so good markings my wife wants to keep him. ITS just I'm not ready to change up or egg collection and storage because we might have fertile eggs.

At what point would he start trying to breed? The chicks are 8 weeks old. my thought have always been a rooster needs his own coop and run. then I can control what hens to put with him.
so is it time for a TS COOP?

No reason to change egg collection because of fertile eggs.....well, that is if you collect daily and store at less than 90 degrees.
