Black runner (Wife Named it Peewee) has been on an egg strike over a week now.. today was left a Peewee egg??? Noticed that before she stopped laying the eggs had a grey coating again on them. The other ducks 2 are laying almost 6 days a week average.

That is not a crack it is a scratch.

Peewee eggs are pretty normal so I don’t think there is anything to worry about. And they have to have breaks off an on or their calcium supplies would be used up. Are you putting out oyster shell for them? Your peewee eggs are called fairy eggs and fart eggs too

Yes, they get oyster shells and crushed egg shells. Ok, Nice to know about the small fairy/fart eggs..

I am only getting 2 a day again pretty regularly with the random 3rd one showing up randomly. I had a soft shelled one with a growth yesterday. It was weird.

They are weird for sure but as long as they don’t happen a lot nothing to worry about just good feed and calcium is about all we can do. And exercise to keep those tummy muscles in shape. I should listen to my own advise

Q... this black runner duck!! She is getting more aggressive now attacking me as I am collecting the eggs and does not like to come out of nest unless provoked then attack the chickens or humans and goes back in sits empty nest one we are away! is she Broody? Should I order some fertile eggs? Will they make good moms?

Sounds to me like you have a broody. do you want ducklings if not just let her go take eggs up and she'll eventually get over it.
