I don't know how you can stand not candling! I've just got to know. I guess though since this is my first time, it's a lot harder to resist.Hard to believe we are 9 days into this! I have 22 in the bator...not going to candle..just wait and see what hatches! And already planning my next bator batch!

there is no problem opening the incubator not even as they say the last tree days because you loose humidity imo (i do it 20 years now)
the mother chicken (brooding) can leave the nest some times more than half an hour to poo eat and drink and the chicks continue to hatch
