New Brahma Group: Blue Partridge x Partridge, Plus Dark

Nice young woman bought the blue partridge boy with his same age splash sister and younger splash sister today. Plus, she had a broody she couldn't break so I gave her four Brahma eggs I had collected for her broody.
Three chicks down and only twenty-five to go.

True. I started with 23 extra Brahmas and 4 extra BRs. Now, I have 15 extra Brahmas and 4 extra BRs. (since I'm keeping Jane and Maddie for Hector, not counting those two). Of those 15 extra Brahmas, there are only 2 pullets, though. At least I can pair those girls up with their respective male counterparts and be down 4 more Brahma kids.

Since I have only two girls left, I have to insist on pairs. I will still have a ton of boys to rehome. Wish that one little Brahma girl had not gotten her leg hurt. At least she has a mom who loves her and will take care of her. Seems she is doing very well, but her leg will never be right. That took away a very valuable girl to pair with a male.

Brandy's four remaining kids. One partridge pullet with three boys. There are only four partridge males that are two weeks older in there with Maddie and Jane. The girls are not messing with the younger chicks, but the big boys are bullies.

The oldest Brahma cockerels, plus some of the younger chicks who are still with Bonnie.
What a difference three weeks makes, comparing the two groups, 8 weeks vs 5 weeks.

Still have all these groups. Here is the 6 week old group (missed the splash boy), the 5 week old group and one of the 8 week old cockerels. Those boys are so tall!

I did. If she is close enough, I'd set her up with one that she'd be very happy with. I sure have plenty!
