New Brahma Group: Blue Partridge x Partridge, Plus Dark

Pics
Are the brahmas the only ones who free range that far? Do the barred rocks or Xander's group not like venturing from home much?

Oh, no, Hector and Apollo and Atlas take their hens all the way to the back corner of the fence. If it wasn't there, they'd be out in the pasture, I'm positive. The BRs and Delawares were my best foragers, overall. So, Atlas has that coming from both sides of the family. I guess I just don't catch them on my camera much. They don't frequent the game camera area as much as the Brahmas do-that group tends to go toward the opposite corner near the power line easement (which is really not quite as safe, IMO). I just moved the game camera away from the fence some to get a slightly different area, too, so no idea who will end up in the frame now.

They may be big, but attitude and old age trump size every time!

Now that they're 24 weeks old, new pictures for you, and bonus video of Bruno crowing!

I've noticed that Bash's comb has suddenly enlarged since he began crowing. Click to really see their awesomeness! Aren't they gorgeous? Thanks again, Tom, for these beautiful birds! I think Bailey is closest to laying, judging by the deeper color in her face.

Just one picture snapped today as I went around the back of the barn. Bruno ruined it for me by pushing Bash away. Before that, it was a perfect picture, dang it. But, you can see how much more "beefy" they both appear.
