That's a shame about the last barred rock egg. How many brahma eggs are under the other broody?

Brandy has 3 Brahmas, 3 BRs. And Bonnie's little Brahma chick is out! Have to decide the fate of that last BR egg so she isn't anchored to the nest longer than necessary. It's HOT today! We're having another mini-spring.

Bonnie is doing great, though she hasn't stood up to go teach them to drink yet. Here they are! There will be more pics of the two BR chicks on the Atlas thread, but these had the Brahma baby in them.

I loved how she pulled the extra big piece back out of the baby's mouth. She's doing a perfect job so far.

When Brandy was taking her late afternoon poop break, I checked her eggs. There was one Brahma and one BR already in the air cell! Today was Day 18, due Saturday, yea!

The eggs are all full of chick up to the air cell so as far as I know, they're fine.

Wow, it's so HOT here! Mid-70's today and high 70's tomorrow, then a 20* drop in the high for Saturday.


Bonnie's babies, who are four days old today, plus Bash and his three non-broody girls.
Bailey is back with Bash. Hope she stays uninjured this time. She laid an egg for the first time in a week, so maybe she's happy to be back.
