Is it still available?

Oh geez, I just got my LG with turner the other day. Had I not done that I would order myself one of these. I hope you all "testers" post how it works for you.

Have you tried Cutler's Poultry Supply? Very reasonable and quick about shipping it out. That is where I got mine. I was going to order a second until I seen this Brinsea, then decided to try one of these.

Is the shipping charge reasonable there?

I thought it was a little high, I bought the bator and the turner and the shipping was $42.

Thanks, I did. They took my order but did not tell me it was backordered. I called them about when it would be delivered and found out they were having trouble keeping them on hand. They were very nice and helpful, would not hesitate to use them again.

I cancelled my order and ordered a Brinsea 20 Advanced. It arrives Tuesday. I'm sure I need all the help I can get with my first hatch. All the talk of temps and humidity hurting the babies sort of freaked me out so I wanted to go for the best I could manage for them.

Wow, this post is still going...

$42 for standard shipping is HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!! UPS ground
or Parcel Post should both be $15 to $20.

As for hand turning, a Brinsea is simple to hand turn. You don't
have to open in, you just turn the entire bator. If you or someone is
around to turn it 3 or 4 times a day then you are all set. Make sure
you sing lullabys to it:

Rock a bye bator on my desktop
3 times a day your eggies will rock
It's day twenty one
I just wanna shout
Hey, an egg's cracking
A chick just popped out.......

That is what I thought. I guess they put them on sale, then make up for it with the shipping!

Hmmm, if I had known they were so easy to turn, I might have skipped the turner. I just knew I didn't want to hand turn all those eggs.
