New BYC Auction System - Want To Buy A Chicken (Just A Test)

Yes, and this is also in your best interest (IMHO). Instead of one long thread you have individual listings to track and to keep track of who purchased what and what still hasn't been sold. Also, you have a better opportunity for more feedback from completed transactions.

O.K. then like before I think it would be nice to have at least 4 listings a week for the GFM's and 2 listings per week for the non GFM's. this way if I make 20 baskets a week, I can post a pic that has 5 baskets in each pic, so this way I will only have to keep up with these 4 listings.

For some reason I feel like I am not making any sense.

this way I have a week to get the baskets together and pics uploaded to photobucket. (oh, another ?...can we still upload from photobucket for this?)

Is there a way to let people select the quantity they want to buy if multiple identical items are offered (like 20 roosters)?

Humm, I suppose if you had more eggs to sell and you weren't allowed any more listings, you could post that in the body of your auction as well so people would know to PM you if they wanted those instead.
I definitely don't do more than 2 BST posts a week but then only a few of my breeds are laying now. I do think it is right to have the GFM's get more listings. I have always thought that it would be nice to be a GFM but that there should be more benefits to it than what they had already.
Anyway, I think this will be ok, once we all get used to it. I don't do change easily but I will try, lol.

1) Are you saying you don't think "more thought" has gone into this? I promise it has... over a year's worth.
2) Unless we charge for listings we need to have limits. Otherwise BYC BST turns into Craigslist where the people with all the time on their hands can post hundreds of times a week and push everyone else off the list.
3) We already know what the limits are probably going to be (I've even done database queries to show how many times members have posted in all the BST sections for 30 day periods) I'm just asking how many times you guys think you post.

Im sorry if that was the way my post came off. I didnt mean for it to. I know there were LOTS of HARD work put into this! I guess I will keep quite until the auctions roll off the assembly line. Most of my questions seemed to have been answered already.
