We have a duck and few hens. This afternoon after my husband got home there was a new chick in our coop. Someone must have put it in our coop (that’s the only thing we can fathom). We’re in a neighborhood and have no clue where the chick came from. It’s an absolute mystery!!! But none the less we are taking it in as our own and giving it a home! However I have no clue what kind of chicken it is? It has an extra toe on one foot and that’s about all I know! Any thoughts or ideas are welcome!!! (An estimated age and gender too if you can tell would be great)

I could be wrong but the 5th toe maybe came from silkie and could be crossed with another bantam breed like a Brahma, the large long legs look like my bantam Brahma. Looks like a boy and about 2 months old. Very odd mix but very pretty outcome.

Well, that's one way to get rid of a rooster. Kinda makes you want to hang a sign up for a day that says "Fresh Young Chicken Meat for Sale" just to teach them a lesson. What are you going to do with him?
