New chicks!

The brooder is all set up and they are in it, they have good food an water, do i need to do anything else

Can you post a picture of your brooder?

Not much advice can be giving without really knowing/seeing whatcha got going on.

Plug of sod in the brooder.

Heating pad cave instead of heat lamp. If you are using a heat lamp, IMO, it's important to give them only as much heat as they need to keep them from getting cold. The whole "start at 90 - 95, and decrease 5*/week" recommendation is more heat than they need, IMO. Be sure the opposite end of the brooder can be cooled to 20* less than the heated end. If you use a heating pad cave, you are much less likely to over heat them, and they develop much faster.

Fermented feed.

Info about heating pad brooding and FF in links at bottom of my signature.

Enjoy your chicks! and welcome to BYC.
