Reasoning 2 behind leghorn civil war, leghorns especially white leghorns always thought they were too good to sit on eggs for 21 days and thought it was a waste of time to sit for that long so they'd hire buff orphingtons to sit on their while they went about their business, but recently brown leghorns have been wanting to be part of the family life style and raise their own children not Buff Orphingtons, white leghorns were shocked by this and wanted to end it as they didn't want to seem low class

As we return to the Leghorn story tonight the brown Leghorns want to become part of the family rasing broody.chickens. The white Leghorns are totally against this as they would have to do more work and have more responsibility to the humans but would not get any better benefits then they have now. The whites would have to lay more eggs to keep up with the demand on the homefront since a broody hen quits laying for a full 22 to 24 days depending on the weather and the climate and then doesn't lay again untill after the chicks reach about 4 weeks old. Maternity leave is not in the contract for the browns. The whites stand firm no broody Leghorns just because you get to rest. If the brown go broody the whites should get extra benefits for extra work.

The cats and chickens have temporarily formed a truce to drink the milk of all the goats and the slaughter them for meat before they go back to war, because the dignified cats would not tolerate the eating of babies.

Possums have been seen as well but stalking the chicks grow out. Silky gone broody again as well as her cochen mix daughters. Astrolorp and Barred Rocks broke out of confinement cells. What next? ...

Brown leghorns have gained cluck town in white leghorn territory, white leghorns retreating to combsville. Brown leghorns have gotten support from Orphingtons and are helping in the cause.
