New coop

Got the new coop delivered on Sunday. I love it ! Hopefully soon all the girls will too. They weren't too happy with it last night.
I suppose moving is always hard even when it's to a much bigger better house.

Everyone is all tucked in. Night 2 went a bit better. All 7 of the mcnuggets went in on their own. Sandy, the RIR, and Pearl, the white leghorn, are roosting. The others huddled in the corner. The big girls wanted to sleep in the dog house. But I've moved them. So now 4 of 9 roosting in their new home.

It's going to be so much better for them. I watched them all squish into the old house the other night. they had to wait in line while each one squeezed in. Now everyone has plenty of room to grow. So happy..

It's a Silcox Coop. They are in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. It's very sturdy. It came highly recommended, they have a great reputation in this area.

Yep, that's the plan. And to use it as cover for feed this winter.

Use a plastic garbage can that will leak if not covered in short order if you want use sealer on the roof it will help
