New Coop

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
My new coop arrived today! I guess it's a little early in the season to get one, but there was a break in the snowy, cold Missouri winter weather. I can't seem to take my eyes off it. It's beautiful. I ordered my chicks yesterday with a hatch date of February 23rd. I haven't stopped smiling since.

The whole coop, 8x16, is on a cement pad, fits perfectly. I do plan on putting dirt and sand in the pen area. I also plan on covering half of the top of the pen for shade and protection from the rain. Now I am going to get the brooder and room ready. I'm almost giddy. Is this a normal feeling or have I just lost it a little?

Can't hardly wait.
