New duckling! Help?

OK GUYS!!! After a few videos this was the best one I could get of Sunni’s voice. I literally cannot tell if she is a she or not anymore. Also if you’re looking for some context in the video, my sister was trying to pet her and she climbed onto my lap for safety.

@CayugaJana you said you could tell the gender based on voice right? Lol what do you think?

Could go either way, BUT, My 2 Call ducks sounded like that and they are both girls.

I would guess girl also. Each week if you pay close attention, you should notice a little more “bark” as I call it.

If by chance Sunni is a boy, you won’t notice anything different with the voice for weeks and weeks.

With my first female duckling I was inside and I heard this really loud noise so I went out to check it out. She was around 6 weeks old and she magically had the super loud honk. I was amazed. But now that I’ve had several I’ve learned it happens little by little but I didn’t know what I was hearing.

Alright we’ll fingers crossed she’s a girl then! I remember when Billy and Mochi first started getting that honk. They’d be peeping like normal and then all of a sudden a loud quack would slip out. It was hilarious. I like to compare them to having their voices crack like a boy who just hit puberty lol

I really can’t believe how big Sunni is! She’s the same size as Billy and isn’t even fully grown. But her tummy is all full of feathers and the tops of her wings have them too! She looks different every day

@DwayneNLiz @CayugaJana Well I'm not old enough to be married but I have already decided to become the crazy duck lady when I'm older!

So guys I took Sunni out and noticed she’s like... lopsided? Her right breast is larger than her left and I’m not sure why. I don’t feel anything there... any reason why she looks like this?

I did the best I could to take pictures but she’s very active and doesn’t like to stand still.

Oh ok. I didn't know if ducks had crops like chickens or not. That makes me feel better

actually ducks do not have a true 'crop' their esophagus just expands similarly
