New duckling! Help?

Pics
@shawluvsbirds Yah but she doesn't always do it either. Like when I have her in the kitchen and she runs around she doesn't pant, when I have her in my room with me she doesn't pant, but when we take her in the living room and put her on the couch or our laps she pants like that

Bill and feet will be warmer feeling to your touch, their body temps are normally higher than ours... super hot feeling *could be* an issue...

Panting like that can be from several reasons... too hot, thirsty, nervous, excited, and also some of mine do it when relaxing... like a dogs just gentle pant at rest...

Unless eating, drinking or activity decreases, I wouldn't worry... or just offer her a drink and see if she stops...

@Ravynscroft she doesn't act sickly or anything at all. She's super active and eats and drinks all the time and is super social. That's why I couldn't figure it out. It might be just her relaxing state, not sure. But she doesn't act sick so I didn't want to jump to conclusions. I'll start bringing water in the living room for her when she's relaxing with us.

I swear this board isn't going to become inactive until Sunni is all grown because I continue to ask questions lol...

Sunny has scabs (it seems like scabs at least) on her heels. She doesn't walk funny or limping as if they bother her but my dad keeps freaking out about it thinking it's bumblefoot (it is not bumblefoot). So what could have caused those? Is it just from her walking and her feet being really soft?

Pretty much . . ya. Could have scraped them on anything. Can you get a pic of her feet?

@shawluvsbirds I can't atm cuz she's in her box sleeping and I don't want to wake her up. But they look like scabs and then she has two very tiny ones on one of her toes. It's not bumblefoot... like they're clearly scabs I'm just not sure. I think she had them when we got her from the shop

Ok. Ya mine have been getting scabs all the time. Dangerous stuff walking around it seems for a duck lol. Just keep an eye on it. You may need to soak her feet in Epsom salt and apply some clear iodine to prevent it from becoming bumble.

@shawluvsbirds I'll keep an eye on it and try to get a picture of it tomorrow. I know ducks get swollen pads when they're older and their feet just get harder. I was just wondering if Sunni had scabs because her feet were so soft right now
