I used a regular heat lamp and I was paranoid the whole time I was using it. This heat lamp has 5 stars on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Premier-Heat-Lamp-Brooders-Lambs/dp/B00U1LDXBG

It is cased in plastic so if it does fall, the bulb won’t come in contact with anything, and the outside of the plastic stays cool enough to handle. (according to reviews) The metal one I had got super hot within a few minutes! It is a little pricey, but totally worth the peace of mind you’ll have! Good luck!

I have 2 of these Premier heat lamps I really like them and if you buy one get their bulbs too they won't separate. Great products.
