When I picked up a friend for my lone Hookbill duckling last month, the breeder also gave me 5 more eggs. Only one egg made it to lockdown. This little duckling hatched on Wednesday. They get their Hookbill as they grow, if they are going to get one, they don’t all. I believe this duckling is either Chocolate Dusky (same coloring as a Khaki Campbell) or Aleutian (light dusky). If anyone knows how to tell, please share! Since my 6 week old duckling is recovering from a wing injury (another post), they are sharing a brooder with a screen between them. Anyway, I think she is adorable and y’all are the ones I know will appreciate her cuteness!

I love her ♥️ Great pics and those little two-toned webbies are adorable. How does she like her room mate? and find Noodles thread so you can update on her if you don't want to here.
They love each other through the screen but Noodles is mean to the little one if she gets too close during our swim time. Btw, I think we are going to call her (or him, I’m just hopeful and didn’t see anything when vent sexing) Skittles.
