Actually, bandwidth should be barely noticeable since each image is only about 8kb in size... so even all 5 of them (40kb) is about 1/5 as big as a regular photo you'd get from a friend... and about 1/1,000 as big as a short 20 second video from youtube, FB, etc.

Any slowness would be caused from the script trying to randomly pull from millions of images uploaded to the system.

NOT including uploads to "Gallery" or "Reviews", we see about 35,000 images uploaded to BYC every month... which is about 16 GB of space added to our servers every month!

Just saw it when I restarted my mobile, thought I hit a wrong key! it did take about 2 seconds to load, another reason I thought, "wrong key".
Anyway, I like it!

I'm getting a little anxious about it slowing down the index, even if it's just a little. If it continues, I may need to turn it off until we can find a way to use it without it slowing down the page load.

This feature has been turned off since 7/25. Please could you say where on the site you saw random dead animals?
