Yesterday my boy and I were walking along the heritage trail in Bedford NH and turned up a road to go to where we parked. Anyways we were met buy 4 rhode island reds in a front yard. They came out begging, but we were hungry too. So we had nothing for them.

Yep we have chickens...I am however new to chickens and not sure what they are exactly. I picked up some free chickens I found on CL to start out with and after I got them home realized that the "5 hens and a rooster" I got do A LOT of crowing...think I have 3 roos hahaha 2 of them I think are Cochins, 2 are what look like RI Reds and one that is poss a Barred Rock? We lost one about a week after they came home. I also have 5 Japanese Bantams I just picked up a week or so ago. 4 Hens and 1 Roo
