New Hen?

Her name is Lemon Meringue. When she was a chick she had splayed legs and so her toes are bent different ways. I thought she had scaly leg mites but we got out a microscope and looked at stuff we scraped from under her scales. (She didn't mind) I saw no mites. The owner took her to the vet and she is getting treated. She isn't laying so I won't have to worry about the with drawl period.

If you can scrape anything from under raised scales she likely does have scaly leg mites.
Post pic of legs when you get her.

What is the 'treatment'?

Adding a single bird to a flock can be very tricky.
Not sure if you want advice on that.

I will definitely post pics of her.
Sorry. I didn't know the name of the treatment before. It is Ivermectin.
I have heard that if you introduce a new member to the flocks it helps to put them in at night. Is this true? I am going to do a deep clean of the coop and run today.
