Hello BYC friends,
I need your help. I have been flipping my coop over from Tractor Supply Co. chicks to breeds from the Poultry Conservation List to move a few birds off the threatened list. My last visit in April to TSC I received and raised eight chicks and four of them where roosters. I have sold two, but I have two more to go. I am willing to part with an egg laying hen which will allow someone to foster bloodline. Both are semi-free ranged and hand friendly. Located in Michigan.
#1. Brutus is approx. 4 lbs. and Lucy is the only one who can handle his weight. He has been an exceptional roo and would like him to go to a loving caretaker. (pictures included)
#2. My second, is an Orpington Buff that is the tallest bird I have ever had 27". He is more feathers than weight. Unfortunately, OB are not on the PCL, but he has a great trait to continue. He gets along with everyone, and crows less than Brutus. He has several hens he likes, and one is OB in his flock.
Please reach out to me for more information we must find them both a new home and hopefully, yours is it. Ideal for those just starting their chicken journey or chicken enthusiasts.
