New in Colorado!

We just acquired a coop. I was pretty happy about that until I realized it needs significant modifications and so now I’m half dismantling and rebuilding and driving my husband insane in the process. It’s just 12sf so we’re going to start with 4 birds and build a 6x10 run around it. Let’s be honest, I already want to go bigger lol

Generally a chicken needs 5 sq. feet of space in the coop NOT including roost post and nesting boxes. In the outside run, chickens should have 10 sq. feet of space. Chickens do not act kindly when crowded.
