try not to beat yourself up over what you think you should have known. I can advise anyone on what to do with their cat or dog. I've talked owners through CPR on their pet while someone drives them to the hospital. My own dog gets diarrhea and I'm like uuuhhhhh what do I do?!?!?!

Lol So true, I used to work in early intervention special education. I was so composed at work never raised my voice, new how to handle everything thrown my way. Can I apply those wonderful skills with my 2yr old NOPE!

Thank you. I am hoping that I got to them in time, and time will only tell I guess. They are all jumping around and talking in their pen, so like I said before I think things are looking up.

OMGoodness....when did I acquire 29 chickens and have 16 more waiting to hatch?!?!  They just multiplied when I wasn't looking, I think!  LOL

I tuck mine in every night.

me too. We actually have a nightly ritual. They are such creatures of habits and do the same things each night. They go into the coop in the same order, my RIR is the first in and ALWAYS comes out again to see what I'm doing lingers a minute and goes back in. So cute. I talk to mine all the time. Some times while I'm in the kitchen or bedroom which have windows that face the back yard I watch my husband clean the coop. Its funny when I see his mouth moving cause I know he's talking to them.

I baby pool or something similar for them to put their heads down into.

And sometimes I catch my husband bending down coaxing over one of the girls, then picking it up if he can. That from the chicken scardy cat.
