New Jersey

Update....... my Orpington is doing good. Her wounds dont look too bad. The stitches are holding up. No redness or anything. She is eating and drinking just fine. She is even laying eggs. They are just amazing. Today I brought her cage outside so she could get some fresh air. My EE rooster sat by the cage the whole time keeping her company. It was so cute!
I'm so happy for you and her!

Looking to rehome BCM cockerel 6 mo. old. I got him from marquisella in ny. I think she has Davis lines. He is much too big for my bantam hens and he seems to like them better then his own hens.

I'm all moved into my new apartment! Now I have about a month of just relax before classes start. My room mates seem really nice and the apartment is wonderful! Everyone has their own bathroom! That is such a huge plus!

My one room mate has a cat and the other has a little dog. I think the cat (Pesco) approves of my bed! He hasn't left me alone since I moved in!

It's good to know that you have nice roommates! Some people get very unlucky. Good luck with your classes! You were going to become an avian vet, right?

My new chicks came in today - I had ordered 4 more to replace the 3 that didn't make it last week. One didn't make it. It was the Speckled Sussex. We were really looking forward to her coming. I give up - I'm not ordering any more, it's too heart breaking. We had actually ordered 3 extra because a friend of my husband wanted to order some chicks as well. One of the chicks isn't really very active. I really hope she makes it. The other 2 are getting along with the 3 week old chicks but she is kind of laying around. Should I be concerned or is she trying to adapt? She doesn't want to drink water.

I'm sorry I seem to always seem to need help but I'm new at this and want to do everything right.

Where are you going? Is it a local college here in NJ or have you gone to another state? Regardless, enjoy the month of relaxation!

Unfortunately there are no vet schools in NJ (I wish there were so I could get in state tuition!) so I applied to Cornell and got accepted. Cornell is in Ithaca NY. It is beautiful here! I know I will enjoy it!

I have had 32 chicks hatch in the last couple days if anyone is interested let me know! I have some white leghorn, wheaten old english,BBR old english, and D'Uccle bantams along with Sumatra LF! I hatched out some Quail D'Anvers, Birchen Modern Games and Black Ameraucaunas but they are not for sale right now! They all come from great bloodlines and have show potential if you are interested and would like more info and the names of there lines and parents winning you can I/M me!
