New kittens and fleas

Our super little mouser got her self pregnant and gave birth to five pretty kitties. The little beggars are infested with fleas and we lost our favorite last evening. We have bathed and powdered the babies but we now have another who is suffering with lethargy and despite another session in the tub appears to to be succumbing to some kind of ? flea disease.
Any suggestions ? I hate seeing these little fellows suffer so badly after fighting to survive. Mama is doing well but the babies are hurting. How do we get rid of this problem ? Proprietery remedies are not working.

Fleas cause anemia in kittens very quickly.

Do not bathe them with flea shampoo !

Use Dawn dish liquid.

.Use Head n Shoulders shampoo. Dont get it in the eyes or ears. I have used this on all my puppies and kittens for years. I just had a litter of kittens brought to me that went through a baler and they were covered in fleas. I bathed them all and only lost two. But they were also passing blood from their rectum. I have four left and they are doing much better.

I have had good luck using Murphy's Oil Soap. The oil coats/sufficates the fleas, makes the kitties soft, too. Keep them warm and keep fluids going in them. They are anemic and possibly dehydrating because of it.

dust them with DE....treat them with frontline...you can go to the vet and they can give them a shot that kills all the fleas on their bodies but it won't protect them from future infestations...if they are house cats you can put a layer of DE in your litter box too.
