New member and chicken owner!

For now, maybe you could put a box of hay where they are sleeping at on the ground. They would be able to go inside of it, and the hay in it would help to keep them warm overnight.
I actually have two baskets on the ground with pine shavings from when they lived in the brooder. They aren’t in it tonight they are laying at the opposite end of the coop maybe tmrw I’ll move the baskets to the front and see if that makes a difference. Thank you for the help!

That’s amazing! What are y’all going to name him?

Also have fun with the chickens! They are a handful but absolutely worth it.
His name will be Levi! And thank you my parents had chickens that I helped with but this is the first time I have full responsibility of 4 chicks! lol I’m learning a lot already

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

It's normal for babies to panic and do all kinds of crazy things until they feel secure in their surroundings. They will calm down as they mature.

Great to have you aboard and welcome to our community! :)

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
It's normal for the chicks to huddle together on the ground. I would fully bed down the coop. Eventually, when they get bigger and more comfortable in their new coop, they will make their way up to the roosts.
Good luck with your upcoming C-section.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens congratulations on the Baby part Levi is a wonderful old name to choose Carleigh.. what state are you in ? many birds almost need to be taught to roost
Thank you! And South Florida. They hop up on the roosting poles during the day but tonight they are on the ground. How should I teach them?
