Thank you!Welcome to BYC! What type of feed do you give her?
I give her lay meal (the pellets) at least once a day (breakfast) and some fresh foods for lunch.

Thank you very much!Welcome to BYC!
You do not have enough hens to satisfy your rooster. You should probably rehome him and add two females to keep her company. She can't be happy with all his attention focused on her.
Wow, this is so beautiful I like that.Hi! I'm Emily
I currently have 2 chickens (and will be getting a third chicken very soon)
One is a hen (2 years old) and the other is a rooster (nearly a year).
My hen was walking past my house one evening (I live in an urban area) which we spotted and lured into our house which is how we initially got chickens.. We decided to get another "hen" last year to keep my initial hen company. However... It was not a hen.
So I've been having this issue with my hen since before we got the rooster... She has lost feathers, her wings are tattered and broken and her head is balding. I have attached a picture of what she looks like now.
I have treated her and her coop for mites with karbadust multiple times. I am currently treating both the chickens for worms and increasing their vitamin and protein uptake. I do feed them very well and they live a very healthy, loving lifestyle.
She has been looking tatty for about a year now and is showing no signs of improvement... Any idea of what I should do?
