You can ask 10 different people this question and likely get 11 different answers - the reason being that there are arguments to be made on both sides. All you can do is read the arguments and decide whether the potential negatives are something you are comfortable accepting for your/your flock given the benefits it provides. I, personally, have used it in the past and if I felt it was warranted again in my flock would not hesitate to do so again.

Will beak trimming help prevent feather picking? I have tried everything else.

Have you considered the "pinless peepers" -- beak trimming as done in commercial setups to prevent brutal pecking may help, but is something I would place at the very bottom of "last resort" measures and would not personally pursue in my own flock. You say you have tried everything - what steps have you taken to address the picking? How long has the picking been going on? How much space (total square feet) are the birds in in the run and inside the coop? How many birds total are housed there? What diet are you giving them?

I have 10 chickens picking has been going on for at least 6 weeks . I have a coop that gives each bird 4 sq ft of space and a run that gives over 10 sq ft of space
I have quality feed and supply toys in the run for boredom. Plenty of roosting space in and out of the coop. I have taken birds out to recover and the ones I think are doing the pecking I remove for a week or so and then return them.
