New Mexico

Hey I'm from Las Cruces and my family has owned chickens for 16 years I love chickens and enjoy my days with them. right now I have three silkies (1 roo 2 hens), 10 buff Orpingtons (1 cock 9 hens), and a breading group made up of 1 Speckled Sussex roo and two RIR hens. I also have my SIlkie hen raising 5 Speckled Sussex/RIR chicks. In total, I have 21 chickens. I'm hoping to expand slowly by breading and hatching my own chicks. (I also have 3 goats and a vizsla)

Hello! I am in Albuquerque and have two 7 week old black australorp/welsummer roos that we have to rehome- roosters are just too noisy for our neighbors. These haven't started crowing yet. FREE if anyone local wants them! I think they are going to be really pretty!

They ARE pretty! I have a bunch of BA hens and they are completely black. Did not know the roos were so colorful. Hope you find homes for them. I live in MO now and do not need any males, but good luck to you!

The second is a Blue/Black/Splash Orpington. Paid $35 for the “pullet” chick!!! But alas, he is a cockerel. 13 weeks old. His tail feathers are still growing. He is a big boy with alluring dark eyes. I haven’t seen any rudeness from this guy. As you probably know Orpington breeds are known for their gentle nature. Although he doesn’t appreciate “lap time” like the girls, he eats out of my hand all the time. I understand he has an image he has to keep up around the ladies.
In case you don’t know what a Blue/Black/Splash is, he carries genes so that his offspring will be of three different colors. 50% will be a gorgeous black with iridescent greens, blues, purples depending on the light. Just like their daddy! (see 2nd and 3rd pics). 25% of his babies will be “blue” which is a lovely gray. And 25% of his chickens will be “splash”, speckles of dark gray or black on a light gray background. You can look all this info up on your favorite site.
