I think just the TS is good enough. From what I've read today, people are liking it!

You may notice a new "TS" to the bottom right of an avatar. This represents the "Thread Starter" within the thread you're viewing.

So, you'll see it attached to my avatar throughout this thread like this:

Now having seen it all day I'm really appreciating how it makes the thread starters really standout. I like the visual reminder, because I often find myself scrolling back to the first post to see the avatar so I have some context with comments.

I removed my suggestion that the TS have an on-hover popup. I think I would have figured out what it's for after having browsed a few more discussions.

Great addition to the site.

I know we have used the term Thread Starter, but we also refer to OP (Original Poster) quite often. Would OP be more recognizable?

On all the forums I visit OP for Original Poster is what everyone uses.
