One tip would be to keep a chicken first aid kit for emergencies and have a cage or area for isolating a sick or injured chicken. Unfortunately injuries and illness happen and it's better to be prepared. Today one of my pullets ripped a toenail almost right off and she went straight in the chicken 'infirmary' cage after disinfectant and a bandage.

If you haven't yet, please make your chickens a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise.
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.
Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!
