So far the two hatched are doing great. It's pretty remarkable how much they change in such a little amount of time.
It is! They perk up pretty fast. Though then they start making messes, lol!

If you had assisted him more it probably wouldn't have helped, he wouldn't have been ready yet and you could have easily broken a vein.
Don't assist any of them until they've gone at least 36 hours with no progress.
Ducks are slow but strong hatchers. They need time to hatch on their own. If you help before it's time it will cause more bad than good.
It's not your fault, don't feel too bad. Everyone loses birds during this stage. It's like the final test, some just don't pass.
