New York mini chickenstock 2016

My greys will all be splashed with black - so make sure that is what you want .... Again - I'll post pictures later ... before you guys get locked in for sure :)

They will also lay blue eggs - I am not happy with the shade - but everyone else says "oh what nice blue eggs" so I guess I am being very hard on my eggs ....

Hi guys! I'v been out of the loop on this thread so if anyone needs anything added to the document that was already posted here and not added let me know and I'll add it.

I won't be making it to this, but I can send anything anyone wants from me with Metella :)

Now you have my interest peeked...

Woo-hoo! !! I picked Bob up tonight! !! He's a lavender orpington and oh is he big... Standing next to my spitzhauben boys he almost doubles their size. He's a sweet boy though. Tonight he is in isolation as a precaution for morning. I don't want tiny Spitz or Golden Boy kicking his butt, he's still a baby. I will get pics tomorrow of him playing with everyone.

So today was my first bloody pullet today. Somehow her wattle got ripped just the tiniest bit. Oh my word talk about a lot of blood!!!! Poor baby went from white to red. A tepid cleaning with some water then a glop of triple antibiotic ointment and she was fine. She looks so yucky though. I wish it was warmer I would clean her chest up.

Where are you located? I am very interested in attending with my two year old son. I doubt I'd gave anything to bring other than the pot luck, but I AM interested in getting a few more needs in my coop.
By the by, X should be hen and Y should be rooster. Lol. My mother is a cytogeneticist...
Genetics question, hope you don't mind. :) I have a handsome and huge orpington boy that I might cross to my big beautiful astrolorp girls. Any clue what I might get. I'm hoping for big, good laying and pretty eggs. No spacific traits just healthy.

Bob's first encounter with Golden Boy. Went very well Bob picked up very fast that he is the new kid. Golden Boy was very nice about asserting his dominance over Bob, he simply turned and kicked mass amounts of bedding at him and one big crow. Bob said "YES SIR GOT IT!!!" and hid behind an astrolorp.
