Newbie from Scotland, UK

[Dry Rot]

Hi Everybody! I found this forum while searching for information on Roll-X incubators. I kept Oxford type Old English Game Fowl since my teens but find I am down to four hens and a few cockerels due to problems with vermin. I am a retired farmer and keep a few Highland ponies for fun on my 30 acre farm. I got the incubators years ago to hatch bob white quail used for dog training. Anyway, I'll leave those problems to the appropriate thread! Thanks for having me.

Hi Dry Rot and welcome from south of the border.
I'm surprised you are considering using an incubator when you have game fowl. I thought they were supposed to be good broodies. I'm a big fan of broody rearing chicks.... but then I've never owned an incubator and usually have plenty of willing volunteers in my flock if I decide to raise some chicks..... and occasionally even when I don't
