We bought a house 2 years ago that already had a coop and run built. The coop, however is on the small side. It probably can accommodate 3 maybe 4 comfortably. We decided to expand on that existing one by duplicating the size of the existing coop and joining them together making it approx 8'X3' to make sure our 6 chicks have plenty of room. No pics yet.
