Hello, Im thinking of getting some guinea fowl keets. Is there a possible way to keep them in the garden? Anything special I should know about them?

Thanks, Luke.

I've only had one less than a year, so I'm no expert. I do like my lavender guinea very much! It is an EXCELLENT forager...there is a tick and mosquito infestation in my area and I have not seen one of either all summer long, which is very unusual. My guinea (Burney) is apparently a male, and can be kind of rough with my other birds (10 chickens and 3 ducks). He's a busy body, always running all over the yard chattering wanting to know what everyone is doing. He reminds me a little of Barney Fife in the Andy Griffith Show. :) They love to roost, and can fly but he hasn't been getting in the trees as I had heard he might. I know it's harder to keep them at home if you get them when they are grown, because they like to wander. Mine stays close to home though. I will be getting more guineas, and I recommend them!
