Hi, I am looking into hatching some Guinea fowl. I’ve tried a couple of times unsuccessfully and was wondering if anyone had any tips. I’m used to hatching chickens and ducks. Are guineas more difficult? Thanks

My experience is that guinea eggs are some of the easier eggs to hatch.Basically the same settings for guinea eggs as for chicken eggs.

I incubate at about 35% humidity and hatch at about 65% to 70% humidity.

I go to lockdown on day 25 but some go earlier since guinea eggs can hatch from day 26 thru 28.

I haven't done anything different with mine either. It seems like from my experience and from what I've read guineas fertility rates get better as they get older. When mine start laying again I'll know for sure as most of mine will be over a year and a half old by then.
