Hi! I have 4 chickens...less than a week so new to everything. They are all ok. Only my Cheshire blue is laying (not a problem). She lays every other day on the floor of their coop. So to encourage use of their nesting box I put said egg inside.
I came back 4 hours later and the egg has gone! No sign of it.
The large run is covered. Any help would be gratefully received. TIA

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Have you searched the area for any sticky bedding where a cracked egg may have been? It's either in there or they ate it. I don't think David Copperfield has visited you! ;)

No sticky residue. Checked everywhere with a torch..nothing. Cant upload any pics as im pants at things like that. Its a big plastic covered box with a big hole to get in, a ladder going up. Its approx 12" high with a ladder. It has proper chicken bedding. Thick and cosy.
