Thanks everyone for welcoming words. We planned an 8x6 coop for around 12 of the flock. We didn’t really go off any plans, but my wife came up with the design and I did the math. Plan on an exterior nesting box to give them some more interior room. We got this far on our first day. Any comments/tips are welcome!

Looks like a great start! Make sure to add lots of ventilation... and windows! Chickens don't like to go inside a dark stuffy coop. And you want ammonia fumes or moisture to be able to escape easily, chickens are so susceptible to respiratory illnesses. This article has more info:
