Update! Thank you for your help! I don’t know what I would have done without it. Everyone is happy and healthy so far. Squeaker is noticeably smaller than its siblings but well taken care of. She started following the wrong mallard and when it walked away from her she gave a couple loud squeals both mommas came running. One mallard has the mom duties and the female Rouen is her bodyguard. Things seem to be going okay as of now. Cute flock of 9.

Just wanted to update you all on the happy little family! Mallard is a fierce momma who doesn’t put up with anyone’s nonsense. All 5 babies are doing great and growing like weeds. I have two female mallards, a female Rouen, and a pekin male. Lately I’ve noticed the other female mallard nipping at the ducklings but when momma sees it she she nips back. It’s been an interesting journey so far.

Help I don’t know what to do! Found a baby stuck in our pond. It’s soaking wet and seems weak.

Water logged most likely and chilled. Your going to have to warm it up when it wants to drink give only warm water.

I thought I had made it so they couldn’t but they’ve gotten so big so quickly they must have hopped over.

I got it dry and warm and put it back with its siblings. Been checking every half hour and seems to be okay. Eating and drinking. Put wood over the pond so they can’t get in. I’ve noticed now that they’re older the drake and my other female mallard are less tolerant of them. I’ve seen them chasing them a bit. Unsure if they’re just establishing a pecking order or what.
