IGnore this and deleate! Crisis averted. He/she finaly got wiggled to the mom and is now resting under her. so I have no way of checking on em till the morn when I get up and see if he's still ok, and pecking around with his siblings

Glad to hear he's doing alright.

That final push to get out of the egg can really exhaust them for a bit, so sometimes they just lie where they fall for a while.
