Hi, I am Jane and this is the first time I have used an incubator. Two Araucana chicks have hatched about 4 hours ago and are already looking nice and fluffy and active. I cannot see if any of the other eggs are pipped. How long can I leave these two chicks in the incubator. I have read a lot of posts about not opening the incubator too soon. I look forward to your advice. Thank you.

I really think it depends on the situation.

I did a bunch of quick grabs of mostly dried chicks because they kept bowling over the other eggs. Little tornado chicks!

If you do open the bator youll want to only open it enough to get your hand in and if you can raise the humidity around you first that would be good. Some people will steam up the bathroom and open the bator in there.
I do believe not opening it is usually ideal.

Thank you for replying to me. I will do my best. The two chicks are probably 10 to 12 hours out and already moving around quite a lot over the other eggs!
