As long as you have made it perfectly clear to them that if their dog enters your property you are going to shoot to kill I say proceed with clear conscience. I love animals, and it makes me ache to think of having to kill one, but it would haunt me forever if I did nothing and my animals suffered because of it.

Oh I forgot to mention...they have a kennel. It's empty. THAT is what REALLY irks me about the whole stinkin situation!

Another thread gave me an idea...have you tried putting cayenne paper around the cages or around your yard perimeter, or would that just bother your dogs? If it's an area your dogs don't go into, that might discourage the neighbor dogs, maybe?

I would hate the thought of digging the hole to bury the bodies. Use them for target practice with paint balls. If that don't get the point across. You might have to contact a sherrif.

If they are home call them every time to come get the dogs, if no one is home move the kennel to the front porch and put the dogs in it with a note that says: Wanted to make sure you found your dogs safe, please keep them this way. But some neighbors still will not care and then I would sss.
