Nite Guard Solar...Anyone have experience?

Just to add some actual evidence- I have a game cam set up at my coop. I have several night guards. The deer are the only thing I have ever captured on the game cam. They don't seem to mind the night guards at all. I have had no other predators captured on the game cam. Maybe the night guard helps? I don't know. I have only had chickens since May, so I don't have years of experience, but I do live in Central (rural) NH with lots of wildlife and predators that we see and hear frequently, and the fact that at this moment none of them have shown up on the game cam is amazing. Hope this is helpful.

If deer aren't afraid of the nitegaurd lights you can bet nothing else is either.

What about experience directly with raccoons or foxes? Just these buggers. Any luck?

My original flock of chickens had a fenced run, and I put up NiteGard units. That very night there was no raccoon. Nor the next night and from then on. After some months, I took down the pen fencing and my growing larger flock was able to range freely. Still no predation at night.

I've moved into an even more rural area with a secure coop and no run, put up the NiteGards and a different brand for more coverage, and the only losses have been stupid chickens going outside of the perimeter fence instead of into the coop at night.

There are raccoons and fox and opossums and bobcat and deer and mountain lions and bear, here.

We bought 4 Night Guards. They got excellent reviews on Amazon. So far, we have had no trouble with predators on the ground. We also JUST put up aviary netting over the area we call the playground, which is fenced, but was not covered. My husband finished this project two days ago. Today he saw a hawk standing on the edge of the coop. It saved us from losing our girls! I would have been heartbroken.
