I don't know what time Pete gets there, but I'm sure you could get there as early as seven. Remember you'll have to move your car back to the parking area after to coop them in.

Thanks! I was going to bring them in a dog crate and use a hand truck to wheel them over...................this way I could just park and play!!haha
What birds do you have entered?

I'm a newbie at this - maybe in April, but I honestly want to watch everyone else and learn, I don't think my birds are up to part with the others. I'm selling two cochins if you want some!! HAHAHA, I have so many birds, I relaly need to sell them!
Good luck!! I will be there!

Ack!!! I can't believe that I forgot this was coming up soo soon. Is it really more than 1/2 way through October already???

Is it too late to sign up for sale cages? Would I need to get my birds tested? I have a bunch of partridge silkie chicks to sell and maybe a few call drakes.

On the show catalog, it says they require pullorum testing for any sale birds. 70 cages have been reserved, so I don't know what's left. I have a bird myself to sell - a gorgeous BLRW LF, if anyone's interested. If there are no cages, there will be a small number of tailgators, space for which can be had for $10. I don't usually do this, as I have to keep by the car the whole day. If there are no spaces left, I'll be a walking tailgater, and walk my roo around to find him a good home.

Have you tried Craigslist? I had a gorgeous BLRW roo that I sold as a hen, so I took him back. No sooner did the guy leave than I checked CL, and someone waslooking for one - He drove down the very next day from Poughkeepsie to get him. He said he had been searching as far away as Massachusetts,no one had a BLRW roo, and he had 25 hens!
I reserved 3 cages, if I have an extra, you can have it for your roo!

Do I need to have them tested for tailgating? The chicks are only 6 weeks old. I keep a closed flock (I do order hatching eggs) except for the calls that I got from a guy named Pete from the spring show but they do free range. Do they test each bird?
